‘Poems’

As I open my eyes I’m aware of my bed.
I sit up and stretch as my awareness does spread.

At a new time and place this traveler has awoken.
In the bed of a truck parked out in the open.

I reflect on my dreams as I get ready to go,
Lessons from the cosmos as the mystery does grow.

This truck that I drive over concrete and stone,
Is mirrored by the journey within the unknown.

On the surface I’m a nomad, traveling great distance.
Underneath I’m a spirit, contemplating existence.
